Co-founder & Managing Partner

Mahesh Ramakrishnan is co-founder and Managing Partner of Escape Velocity Ventures (EV3), a thesis-driven venture capital firm focused on early-stage companies building at the frontier of internet infrastructure and decentralized networks. Mahesh began his career at Goldman Sachs, where he worked in investment banking, and Apollo Global Management, where he worked in private equity before becoming a venture capitalist. His professional experience has centered on identifying transformative technologies early and partnering with founders who challenge conventional boundaries. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA, 2024) and Harvard College (BA, 2018).

Beyond investing, Mahesh is an active writer. He has co-authored multiple Harvard Business School case studies on blockchain networks, including cases on Helium, NEAR, and Solana. His research explore the mechanics and economics of crypto protocols, and the broader intersection of technology and society.

Outside of his work as an investor and writer, Mahesh is deeply engaged in nonprofit initiatives. He co-founded Mahamaya Dogs, a Chennai-based organization dedicated to the rescue and care of street dogs, reflecting his belief that compassion and long-term commitment matter as much in communities as they do in investing.
